The new Lapierre Xelius 500 105 Mens Road Bike won't give you up when you need it most, when the gradient forces you to dig deep, It'll help you to produce all the watts you need to get you to the top.
 
This is the result of many years of work and continuous research into performance, in close collaboration with the Groupama-FDJ team and alongside riders like Thibaut Pinot facing mythical climbs like Izoard, Angliru or Stelvio.
 
Don't be fooled by appearances - small details make big differences. While maintaining its unique design and dynamic features, Lapierre have strived to increase the Xelius’ performance on climbs. The R & D team has focused on maintaining its high level of rigidity while improving weight.
 
The build quality of the UD carbon mono hull frame has also been improved using latex bladder moulding technology, reducing excess resin inside the tubes for a perfect finish. Its forms borrowed from Lapierre’s aero Aircode SL bike, give it more edginess and stability at high speed, positioning it as an even more versatile bike and perfectly at ease on the descents as well as the climbs.
 
If you still believe that the Xelius SL is a pure climber's bike, remember that it has other assets to bring you comfort and take you as far as possible to beat your challenges. Components include a Shimano 105 groupset, Mavic Aksium wheels, Lapierre finishing kit and a Fizik Antares R5 saddle which will all ensure you have the quality and comfort  you need for long rides.
